The Marketing Designer is responsible for the production and creation of Foundry’s brand content and collateral across social media platforms along with traditional print materials. You will work on a variety of internal projects including digital content campaigns, email graphics and creation, marketing materials, as well as swag and sales collateral. You’ll transform Foundry’s vision and business need into innovative products/deliverables. The Marketing Designer will liaise with internal clients to understand their vision, and work with our marketing team members to develop dynamic design solutions. Foundrymakes.com is built on Webflow, this role will require in-depth knowledge and experience with Webflow.

This position reports directly to the Director of Product Design. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and adapt to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of agency brand, strategy and standards
  • Take ownership of special design tasks, such as, resizing, color correction and asset management
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, sales, and operation teams to daily fulfill objectives
  • Host creative briefs, ask questions, gain insight, and deliver timely assets
  • Apply brand guidelines across multiple types of brand assets
  • Proofing and quality control of finished products
  • Proactively understanding and gaining knowledge of our brand and target audience
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with our Director of Design Operations, Director of Product Design and other Designers and copywriters
  • Develop creative solutions across omnichannel touchpoints with a customer-first lens
  • Adhere to the brand identity standards and guidelines, while helping to inform the evolution and extension of the visual identity
  • Present design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval
  • Stay current with industry trends, with a focus in the digital and social space; share ideas and recommendations for innovating new templates and design approaches

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Serious visual design skills, have a problem-solving aptitude, and are confident sharing your ideas
  • Excellent aesthetic sense
  • Highly detailed-oriented, you meticulously proof your work to consistently deliver excellent deliverables
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Webflow 
  • You possess the keen ability to set priorities, quickly zeroing in on what is important, eliminate roadblocks, and create focus
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum two (2) years in a creative design or social media role with similar experience (brand or agency)
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback, setting expectations and meeting deadlines
  • Must have a positive attitude working in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of social media, content and the latest design trends
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, things move swiftly at Foundry

A note on remote work

At Foundry, we value flexibility. All Foundry employees have the choice to work at either our downtown Minneapolis headquarters, remote, or a mix of both! We are looking for someone who is able to roll up their sleeves and get things done, and when the inevitable life stuff happens - take care of it, family first.

Our core business hours are from 10am to 4pm CST. This means all employees, regardless of location, are expected to be responsive within these hours, and are trusted to tailor their schedule to work a full 8 hours on an average day.
